Swivel bearing for forestry truck

A logging truck is a specialized vehicle used for transporting large timber logs. One of its core components is the slewing bearing, which connects the chassis to the turntable, supports the weight of the load, and allows the trailer to pivot during turns.

Typically, toothless slewing bearings are used in logging trucks. These have no built-in drive mechanism. When the front of the truck turns, it forms an angle with the trailer, and the resulting inertia and frictional forces cause the slewing bearing to rotate in the direction of the force. The bearing must endure substantial axial loads, strong impacts from rough terrain, and a certain overturning moment. Its reliability is essential for the safe and stable transportation of heavy timber under demanding working conditions.
