Problem Arising

Our solution

  • A large spherical roller bearing (Splin No.537284) consisting of two parts was installed. The bearing replacement was carried out without dismantling the main equipment.

Metallurgical – Coil for coiling thin sheet steel

Responsible unit

  • The coil for winding thin sheet steel into a coil. The winding machine is the end of the line in the process chain.

Problem encountered

  • The double-row tapered roller bearings mounted on the coil winding reel break down, which in turn stops the production chain of the entire plant.

Our solution

  • GIB TDO93787/93127CD double row taper roller bearings with cemented steel for rings and rollers with B.E.P. bearing clearance specifically designed by GIB for this kind of equipment were installed. Process stoppages have ceased.

Metallurgical – rolled pipes from 10-30 mm

Responsible unit

  • Cold-rolling mill ХПТ32 (rolling of stainless tubes of different diameters from 10-30 mm)

Emerging problem

  • Bearings collapse during cold rolling of small diameter stainless tubes.

Our solution

  • GIB 2097732 bearings with improved technical data and reduced B.E.P. clearance, specially designed by GIB for this type of mill, were installed in the rolls of the cold rolling mill.

Metallurgical – rolled pipes from 30-60 mm

Responsible unit

  • Cold-rolling mill ХПТ55 (rolling of stainless tubes of different diameters from 30-60 mm)

Problem encountered

  • When strikes occur during the rolling of cold rolled tubes (stretching of the tube), in the bearing the gap B.E.P. sharply increases as a result of the strike and sometimes the bearing suffers internal destruction, which leads to rejected tubes during rolling and sometimes to a halt in the technological process

Our solution

  • The improved design of GIB 77741MESL bearings, optimised for applications with high impact loads, was installed into the rolls in the cold rolling mill. Stoppages in the rolling process were eliminated, the mill returned to normal operation. The mill’s operating time was more than 3,600 hours.

Metallurgical – rolled pipes from 40-72mm

Responsible unit

  • Cold rolling mill HPT90 (rolling of stainless steel tubes of different diameters) from 40-72mm diameter.

Problem encountered

  • When strikes occur in the rolling of cold rolled tubes (the process of drawing the tube), in the bearing the gap B.E.P. sharply increases as a result of the impact, and sometimes the bearing suffers internal destruction, which leads to the release of rejected tubes during rolling and sometimes to a stop technological process

Our solution

  • The improved design of GIB 77752M bearings, specially designed for applications with high impact loads, was installed in the rolls of the cold-rolling mill. Process interruptions were eliminated and the mill returned to normal operation.

Mining

Responsible unit

  • The rotary assembly of a heavy tracked mining excavator with a working bucket of 10 m3 working on the opening of heavy iron ore ore

Emerging problem

  • Failure of the excavator’s swing bearing when turning with a loaded bucket.

Our solution

  • A bearing was installed on the excavator – an Iraundi roller pinion bearing #1027-0043-00.The problem was solved.

Agricultural sector

Responsible node:

  • Press rollers of the granulator.

Problem encountered:

  • Premature failure of the bearings of the pressing rollers of the granulators. Frequent stops of the technological chain of vegetable oil production. Cycles in 35 working days.

Our solution:

  • The pressing rollers of the granulator are equipped with bearings RKB 24038ECAC3W33C/4/A7, with an optimized internal design by bainite hardening and thermal stabilization of the rings for operating temperatures up to 200°C. The cycle of the extraction and oil production chain has increased to 50 working days.

Sugar processing industry

Responsible node:

  • product separation centrifuge.

Problem encountered:

  • Seized bearing problem on product separation centrifuge.

Our solution:

  • An RKB NU315EMC3 bearing with increased radial clearance, an optimized internal design and a reinforced brass cage type AVH of RKB’s own design is installed.

Food industry

Responsible node:

  • Conveyor for moving the slaughter of birds.

Problem encountered:

  • Aggressive environment, frequent failure of conveyor shaft bearings.

Our solution:

  • RKB 6204 2RSABEC3 sealed type bearings are installed.

Crane production

Responsible node:

  • Pivot bearing assembly in marine port cranes: Mark 40, Mark 46, Mark 36.

Problem encountered:

  • There is a destruction of the bearings in the supporting pivot assembly of the crane, when working with loads that do not exceed the lifting capacity of the crane.

Our solution:г

  • This crane assembly was modernized with miscalculations of the existing loads. RKB bearings with reinforced brass cages are installed: 29460EMN1EB, 29464EMN1EB, 29468EMN1EB, 23172ECAW33XS1VL/4.
